Photostability Chamber

Photostability chambers are utilised for light exposure testing of drug products in the pharmaceutical industry according to ICH Q1B FDA Photostability Testing of New Drug Substances and Products. Our photostability test chambers are designed to meet option 2 of this guideline. Our chambers are available in two sizes featuring a compact benchtop and a spacious upright model with uniform light, temperature and humidity distribution.

The photostability testing chambers utilise cool white and ultraviolet-A fluorescent lamps with power levels that allow photostability tests to be carried out in less than 100 hours. Exceptional quality, innovative product features, high accuracy sensors and smart touchscreen controls provide optimum conditions for your photostability testing.

  • Double walled with 80mm PUF insulated modular panels with easy on-site assembly.
  • SS 304 Interior & Exterior either SS 304 mirror finish or External Powder Coated G.I.

  • Fluorescent tube light fitted in the centre of the chamber to provide illumination & produce visible light measured in lux

  • Forced air circulation for uniform temperature.

  • Automatic switch off of UV lights upon door opening.UV light of wavelength 365nm (measured in watt/sq. m.) fitted on top of the chamber.

  • CFC free cooling system consisting of hermetically sealed compressor coupled with evaporation coil, Capillary & condenser.

  • Full-length inner glass door, Front metal door with gasket & lock on the outside.

  • Complete Operations is driven through PLC with data logging capacity of upto 1000 readings with email facility & SMS facility.

  • High speed Ethernet based communication.

  • All operations through a single 4″ Color Touch HMI Screen with User friendly Graphical orientation.

  • High-quality make temperature(PT-100 Class A) sensor for seamless performance.

  • Safety devices for Low & High temperature cut-off settable thermostats & high humidity cut-off device.

  • Audio/Visual alarms for deviations and corrective actions.

  • PU wheels for easy movement

  • Power supply: 230/415 volts 50 Audio/Visual alarms for deviations and corrective actions.

  • Hz main supply. Also available with 60 Hz Cycle.

Each Equipment will have IQ, OQ, PQ along with Operations & Maintenance Manual.
